I think that is a stellar idea.

I've been thinking about driving next year anyway, doing a beer competition would just be another reason to do so (shipping beer is a MAJOR PIA).

I could swing through Detroit to pick you (and your beer) up, and perhaps we could pick up a few other BeerNUTS along the way.

Perhaps we could tie it in with the BALD dinner at the brewery?
